Wait on The Promise

With Abraham faith, I too have gazed at the stars with a promise and waited. Can you?

For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible.
Luke 1:37 AMP

Like a spouse who comes up from behind you with a surprising kiss while you’re watching the Food Network and munching on Veggie Straws, the Holy Spirit did just that with a message. It was an unexpected visit.

The Rivers of Living Water are continually flowing and at any moment the Lord can speak through me. My mind wandered to a particular person and situation, and I thought, "It’s not a quick fix."

In the Kingdom of God, we can’t put in our request and expect things to turn around in a weekend. There’s no special curing process in the Spirit with an expected time for results. There’s no secret 7-step method for what we’re looking for. Although we can be a Change Agent -- implementing godly character with healthy boundaries -- to help ease the frustration for both ourselves and others. There are countless variables with every circumstance, but the keys to unlock our situation lie in the search with all our heart to be found in the Word and by the revelation of the Holy Spirit. You can even gain #FaithHopeCourage on your journey with the help of several resources and people. But enough about that. I want to share the heart of God with you now to give you a boost and point the way, especially for those who are waiting and weary.

The Scripture, “with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day,” (2 Peter 3:8) was recalled from the sacred part of my soul and rang true in my spirit for this craving of a quick fix. We can’t rush the process. As I wept in the Truth then, I weep again writing.

Wait on the promise.
Read it for yourself!

We must dig deep in our cistern of faith to pull from it ample amounts of #FaithHopeCouarge, and believe with all our hearts in what God has spoken to us and over us that we may see the “goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13) Hold on my Brothers and Sisters, and wait on the promise!

I have a few significant testimonies of God’s goodness in my own life and I have also witnessed it in the lives of others. Yet, my heart knows there is more, much more. Be diligent and study the Word. Be obedient and drink from the Cup of the Lord daily. You’ll find that as you practice these things they will become good habits that are life, even unto your bones. You’ll look forward to pleasing God meanwhile cultivating in the Spirit and gaining ground with the promise ever closer, though maybe on Heaven’s timetable and not your own.

For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time
It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail.
Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it,
Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.
