Tell Me About It

No one can escape life's problems, but we as Believers are safe in the arms of Jesus regardless. Be reminded, that He is near and present in our time of trouble.

Psalm 46:1-3 Amplified Bible "God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!"

I encourage you whatever the trouble, and wherever you are in your faith, to find someone who can help in your hour of need. You are not in a pit where God cannot reach. Don't give up or give in! God is not only a God that listens, but He is also a God that answers.

Prayerfully search for godly relationships that are safe to share and be honest so that you may grow and be built up in the faith. And in time you will be able to carry the load of another. It's God's plan!

My Glorious King!

Let us come
Let us worship the Lamb

Jessa Anderson - "Worship The Lamb" (Official Lyric Video)

"I am my beloved's, And my beloved is mine." Song of Solomon 6:3

John Gill's Exposition of the Bible: Song of Solomon 6:3
I [am] my beloved's, and my beloved [is] mine
Expressive of interest in Christ, and union to him, and of her faith therein; which still continued, notwithstanding her unbecoming behavior toward Christ, and her many infirmities, ( Song of Solomon 5:2Song of Solomon 5:3 ). Aben Ezra connects the words with the preceding, "my beloved is gone" but though he is, and I am left alone, I know I am his, and he is mine; which throws a beauty upon the words, and declares the excellency and strength of her faith; for herein lies the glory and excellency of faith, to believe in an unseen Christ: though it may be the Shechinah was with her, as the Targum has it; or Christ had now appeared to her, and was found by her, and therefore, like Thomas, says, "my Lord and my God"; he feedeth among the lilies; (See Gill on Song of Solomon 2:16).

Dry Chapped Skin

It's cold and flu season and washing my hands is not negotiable. Yes, I did get a flu shot last September, but my daughter and I have allergy and cold symptoms. That means lots of tissue, and tubes of hand cream and occasionally Vasoline to help with my itchy dry chapped hands.

Last night I resorted to Olive Oil and after a while washed it off, then went to bed with a thick coating of Vasoline and winter gloves. Sometimes desperation calls for multiple tries to find relief.

Today I hit the jackpot! Remembering that a while back I bought a generic brand with the same ingredients of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and still had a small amount left under the bathroom sink. Regardless, I needed reinforcements! I purchased the full strength (some say there is a difference) of Cetaphil Cleanser along with DailyAdvance Lotion by the same manufacturer.

The results—my hands feel like a baby's bottom! Not kidding. I can tell that whatever the concoction is it's healing and keeping my skin ultra hydrated (as the package promises).

In looking up previous to today's purchase I remember reading about the chemicals and fragrances in other soaps and creams that are irritating and counterproductive.

Cetaphil is an old school product!

Jesus Came To Seek...

Jesus came to seek, save, and multiply Himself in others.

"for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10

In Matthew 28 verses 18-20, Jesus speaks, "saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen."

These men inspire me to go and labor in God's Kingdom. I sense that the year 2013 is going to be a year that will exceed others in drawing men to Jesus. Their hearts will be ready due to many trials and afflictions. They will be weary and the Gospel will be like medicine, healing their broken hearts and sick bodies. It will also be the key to break out of their inner prison of sin and shame. Get ready for our territory is going to be enlarged!

The world holds many uncertainties, but God has everything working (Yes, He is sovereign!) together for this specific good -- that Jesus would receive in plenty the reward of His sufferings.

Let me speak the truth--we have been shaken up and stirred enough to realize that getting for ourselves isn't the whole enchilada, like some would believe. I'm talking to the church! It's time we put others and the cost of laboring for Him a priority.

Give of yourself, time and treasure, to those in your circle and of course to those abroad. Share with them the Good News! Be a light that is not hidden under a bush, effective, and able to abound unto every good work.

Life's Problems

"In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33b

I have been there myself, with reality in my face and a heavy heart, and seeking God through prayer and His word. Still, I remain hopeful because God is not only a God who listens, but He is also a God that answers—and on occasions before I ask. Yes, He's orchestrating the answer and making delivery for a particular time and place where it will be overwhelming evidence that it's nobody but God that made this happen. In essence, God's fingerprint is visible to every witness!

I'm seeking Him currently for specific needs for myself and my family. I've cast my cares upon Him and know that whatever the outcome I'll still praise Him. For me, getting from God is not a wager. It matters not what He decides, how He'll fix it, or if He will do it the way I want it. Regardless, I am content knowing that He's in control—and that means I don't have to be. I am free from the burden of figuring it out or getting it done.

After all these years I am still astounded by God's goodness in my life, and that He still desires to do more for me, and my family. He's not satisfied with only giving a portion of good. His heart's desire is that I receive my full inheritance—and I will wait patiently for the full allotment in one disbursement or in incremental blessings.

Today a minister of the Gospel shared her heart on what she believed the Lord was teaching her, and it's value is worth repeating here, "God has more answers than I have questions, and God has more solutions than I have problems."
