Hard Lessons

The "money" lessons are the hardest for some, but how sweet the rewards when we get it.

My daughter's Spring Break came with much excitement. We were both planning and ready for lots of fun and delicious local fare. It began with two half-days last week and we did enjoy ourselves immensly throughout, and on a few occassions toasted to our celebration. There's something special about a mother and daughter breaking bread with big smiles and a sun-filled sky.

Today, the last day of break, I found out how successful I was after entering all my receipts in my bookkeeping software. It wasn't bad at all. In fact, I'm feeling great about all the decisions I've made this week including today's off-limits for dining and recreation.

Saying "No!" to yourself and your child can be a very good thing.

Rise!

I heard this morning a poignant statement: As Believers, it's in our DNA to rise. If that's not good news I don't know what is!

As we prepare for Easter with prayer and pressing in let us be cognizant of Jesus' resurrection power—and that we are also endowed with power from on high to rise above life's problematic issues and the enemy's strategies. In the book of Romans chapter 8 verse 37, it says "we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

Life Application Study Guide: In the beginning in the Book of Ezekiel, "Ezekiel gives us a vivid picture of the unchangeable holiness of God. We too must gain a vision of the glory of God, a fresh sense of His greatness, as we face the struggles of daily life."
