Hard Lessons

The "money" lessons are the hardest for some, but how sweet the rewards when we get it.

My daughter's Spring Break came with much excitement. We were both planning and ready for lots of fun and delicious local fare. It began with two half-days last week and we did enjoy ourselves immensly throughout, and on a few occassions toasted to our celebration. There's something special about a mother and daughter breaking bread with big smiles and a sun-filled sky.

Today, the last day of break, I found out how successful I was after entering all my receipts in my bookkeeping software. It wasn't bad at all. In fact, I'm feeling great about all the decisions I've made this week including today's off-limits for dining and recreation.
